A pioneer in the integration of the Internet, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology in art, and an ardent feminist since the start of her career in the mid-1960s, media artist Lynn Hershman Leeson has produced a visionary oeuvre that is anchored in the lived experience of vulnerability. Her materially bold and psychologically provocative works shed light on the decisive role technology plays in the construction of identity.
