Partnerships

MOMENTA is proud to partner with a variety of organizations to produce and promote its exhibitions and activities. More than an exchange of services and visibility, each partnership involves a meaningful exchange and mutual development. It is thanks to our partners and collaborators that we are able to carry out our projects on the local, national, and international scenes.

MOMENTA is always open to collaborating with cultural and community organizations, non-profits, companies, individuals, and collectives. For any inquiries or proposals, please write to us at info@momentabiennale.com

Promotion

Join forces with MOMENTA to highlight local and international artists, in a partnership tailored to your needs.

MOMENTA has been working with the International Festival of Films on Art (Le FIFA) for several years. The presentation of contemporary video art and art films is a core concern for the biennial, as is providing support and guidance to emerging curators. For the 40th edition of the festival, MOMENTA and Le FIFA partnered to present a Carte Blanche program by the Lebanese artist and curator Joyce Joumaa.

In addition, MOMENTA partners with international venues to present exhibitions by Canadian artists. In the past, we have collaborated with the Rencontres d’Arles, Mérignac Photo, and the Cooper Gallery.

Production

Contribute to the production of works or the development of exciting art projects, in a partnership tailored to your needs.

Since 2018, MOMENTA has collaborated with Studio Dpt. in the development of digital projects. For a brand-new component of the 2021 biennial, Liquid Crystals, a program of interactive augmented reality works, artists employed a technology that is not yet widely used in contemporary art. Dpt. guided artists in their production of augmented reality works and their experiments with other forms of image-making.

Education

Combine your expertise with MOMENTA’s to design a creative workshop or engaging educational activity, in a partnership tailored to your needs.

Within its educational component, MOMENTA regularly collaborates with cultural and community organizations to design and facilitate workshops related to the exhibitions. As part of the 2021 biennial, MOMENTA partnered with the collective Never Was Average to design and facilitate the educational workshop “Imagination and Other Powerful Futures.” This activity began with a guided tour of an exhibition, followed by a discussion and a collage workshop.
