MOMENTA Creative 2017

In 2017, the mediation program was designed to explore the richness of the issues raised by the works of the Biennale. 12 mediation activities stimulated and activated the reflective and creative potential of the participants, including 5 workshops developed in partnership with key organizations in order to offer activities designed in relation to the theme of the Biennale. More than 2,200 participants took part in MOMENTA Creative’s first edition.

Here are a few memorable moments:

Images from Innu language

Innu translator Jani Bellefleur-Kaltush and Exeko — a non-profit organization working for social inclusion through creativity — led this workshop inspired by the work of Anne-Marie Proulx, who also collaborated. Participants were able to familiarize themselves with Innu language and culture in an artistic context.

Do Images Reveal the Truth?

This philosophical workshop invited children to question the perception of the images that surround us. The activity, offered three times to families, was also adapted to the specific needs of two primary school groups.
