Marked by the legacy of Apartheid in her native South Africa, Bianca Baldi makes work that reveals the blind spots of colonial history and the hidden power structures that produce and perpetuate oppression. Relying on a broad range of historical, technical, and scientific knowledge, which she combines with personal stories and literary quotations, the artist-researcher has developed an image-based approach that is both narrative and sensorial.
