Artists
Séamus Gallagher
Inspired by drag culture and video game aesthetics, Gallagher and their alter ego, Séamus, stage themselves in costumes, wigs, and sets that are as extravagant as they are precarious, and decidedly kitsch. The artist creates 3D models, which they print using papercraft software to make paper templates producing volumetric forms that become a baroque theater in which the artist surreptitiously infiltrates themselves while simultaneously photographing or filming the scene.
Exhibition produced in partnership with the McCord Stewart Museum.
