Tuan Andrew Nguyen
Memory as a tool for political resistance is the driving force behind the work of Tuan Andrew Nguyen. As a starting point, the artist often uses micro-narratives, lived stories, or singular objects, which he transforms into repositories and indicators of traumas that have been concealed by official history, especially ones caused by colonialism, war, and forced migration. In collaboration with various communities around the world, Nguyen creates video and sculptural installations that invent new ways of reappropriating history.
