Rosa Luxemburg Resistant Herbarium

Sep 11Nov 23

Since 2020, Paula Valero Comín’s The Rosa Luxemburg Resistant Herbarium has been unfolding in different cities, adapting to each specific territory, in order to form an atlas. Valero Comín pairs local plant species, chosen for their properties, with women engaged in protecting all forms of life. Developed in collaboration with communities, the project generates an affective, botanical, and political genealogy that reveals diverse forms of resistance. The Montréal iteration continues this exploration by weaving together human stories and urban biodiversity. Valero Comín highlights the connections between ecology and social struggles, inviting us to reconsider our place within these ecosystems.
